Terms of Service

Effective October 17, 2026. These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Juschin Labs ("Cotrest", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using cotrest.com and related services (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms, the Community Guidelines, and the policies linked here. Section 13 contains an arbitration agreement and class-action waiver that apply to users in the United States.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract. One account per person. You sign in with email and password or with Google. Keep your password confidential; you're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly at hello@cotrest.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

We send service messages by email and inside the app (for example a banner, or a notice when you sign in). These include notices about your account, decisions about your content, and changes to these Terms. They aren't marketing, so you can't turn them off while you have an account.

2. What Cotrest is

Cotrest lets fans propose ("pitch") collaborations between public figures and show support ("back") for pitches. A pitch is a fan request, not a booking, endorsement or statement by the people named. Unless a page is verified and the creator says otherwise, the people listed have not joined Cotrest or agreed to anything.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the pitches, topics and other material you submit ("Your Content"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt (for example, merging duplicates or formatting for sharing), and distribute Your Content to operate, improve and promote the Service. This licence ends when Your Content is deleted, except for copies kept for legal reasons or already shared by others. You confirm you have the rights to post Your Content and that it complies with these Terms.

4. Backing and integrity

Backing is free, has no monetary value, and must reflect genuine individual interest. We may void backing and restrict accounts to protect rankings.

5. Creator pages and verification

Pages about public figures are built from public sources. Verification is granted under our claims policy and can be revoked if information proves inaccurate. Verified creators may respond to pitches; doing so creates no obligation to anyone.

6. Acceptable use

You won't: break the law or the Guidelines; scrape or access the Service by automated means beyond what robots.txt allows; circumvent rate limits or security; probe or test vulnerabilities without our written permission; interfere with the Service; misrepresent your identity; or use the Service to harass anyone or to send spam.

7. Moderation, enforcement, notices and appeals

Anyone may report content, including notices of illegal content, through the report link on any page, the removal form, or legal@cotrest.com. We review notices diligently and objectively, give the affected user a statement of reasons, and offer an internal appeal. Users in the EU may also refer disputes to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body. See Transparency.

If you break these Terms or the Guidelines, we may, depending on how serious it is: remove content; remove or hide images you uploaded (such as a creator banner or photo); restrict features on your account for a set time or permanently (for example commenting, pitching, backing, reporting, uploading or editing a creator page); suspend your account for a set time; or terminate it. We tell you what we did and why, and you can appeal, unless the law or someone's safety prevents it.

We cooperate with law enforcement as described in our Privacy Policy and law enforcement guidelines: we disclose information only in response to valid legal process or in a genuine emergency, and we report apparent child sexual exploitation to NCMEC.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, our software, design and trademarks belong to us or our licensors. You may share links to Cotrest pages. Copyright notices: see our Copyright Policy. We terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

9. Sponsored content and third parties

Paid placements are labeled "Sponsored" and follow our advertising policy. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience; we're not responsible for them.

10. Ending your use

You can deactivate or permanently delete your account any time in settings. Deletion takes effect after a 30-day grace period: your account is closed and hidden straight away, and if you change your mind within 30 days you can ask us to restore it. After that it is purged, unless we are required to keep it under a legal hold. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect users, with reasons as described in Section 7. Sections 3 (to the extent stated), 8 and 11–15 survive termination.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that any collaboration will happen or that information about public figures is complete or current.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury, or rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

13. Disputes (United States)

Please contact legal@cotrest.com first; most concerns can be resolved quickly. If we can't resolve a dispute within 60 days, you and we agree to resolve it by individual, binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court or seek injunctive relief for intellectual-property misuse. You and we waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class or representative action. You can opt out of this Section by emailing legal@cotrest.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. If this Section is found unenforceable, disputes go to the state or federal courts in Los Angeles County, California.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you live in the EU, the UK or another country with mandatory consumer protections, you keep the protection of those laws and may bring claims in your local courts.

15. General

We may update these Terms. For material changes we'll give at least 14 days' notice on the Service or by email before they take effect; continuing to use the Service after that means you accept them. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms are the entire agreement about the Service. You may not assign them; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale. Our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver.
