Advertising Policy

Cotrest may show a small number of sponsored placements. These rules protect users and the people listed on Cotrest.

• Always labeled. Every paid placement says "Sponsored", names who paid, and is visually distinct from community content.
• No implied endorsement. Ads can't use a listed person's name, likeness or page to suggest they endorse a product without their written permission.
• Backing isn't for sale. Sponsorship never changes backer counts or rankings.
• Interest matching only with consent. By default sponsors are not matched to you. If you turn on "Sponsors matched to my interests" (adults only), we use the fields you watch and creators you follow on Cotrest to choose placements. We never use sensitive categories, never target people under 18, and never sell or share personal information with advertisers; sponsors receive totals only.
• Prohibited: illegal products, weapons, adult content, gambling where unlawful, deceptive financial schemes, political or issue ads, and misleading health claims.
• Review. Every placement is reviewed by a person before it runs.
