What counts as a creator
Cotrest is for people with an established public presence — the hosts, YouTubers, streamers, athletes, artists and public figures audiences already follow. Anyone can nominate someone by pasting a link to their X, YouTube, Instagram or TikTok. We look up the account, match it to an existing page, and add an unverified page automatically when it meets the guide below. When we can't read the numbers, a moderator reviews it.
Who we list
- ✓An established audience. As a guide, an active channel, show or account with roughly 10,000+ followers or subscribers on a major platform, a podcast that has ranked in a top chart, or a public-figure entry in a reference source such as Wikipedia or Wikidata.
- ✓Public in the role they're known for. They publish, perform or host under their name or a public persona.
- ✓Adults only. Everyone listed is 18 or older.
- ✓Verifiable official links. At least one official profile, channel, show page or website we can point to.
Who we don't list
- –Private individuals, including people who went viral once or appeared in a news story.
- –Anyone under 18.
- –Elected officials, political candidates and party figures. Cotrest is for creators, not campaigns.
- –People who asked to be removed. Removal requests are honored — request one here.
The second person in a pitch doesn't have to be listed: fans can add anyone as a guest. Guest names aren't creator pages, aren't indexed by search engines, and are removed on request.
These thresholds are guidance, not a formula. Moderators may list a smaller creator with a clear public presence, or decline a larger one for safety reasons.
How to get verified
Every page starts unverified: we build it from public reference data so fans can pitch collabs. When a creator verifies, the page gets the blue verified rosette Verified creator and becomes theirs to manage.
- Find your page and choose Is this you? (or nominate yourself if you're not listed).
- Sign in with your email and password, or Google.
- Prove it's you: post a short code on an official profile listed on your page — a YouTube description, website, X or Instagram bio. Remove it once we confirm.
- Done. Most checks are automatic; some get a quick manual review.
What verified creators get
- The verified check on your page and every pitch you're in.
- A dashboard of the guests, debates and topics your audience requests most.
- Respond publicly to pitches: Interested, Already happened or Pass.
- Control of your bio and official links.
Verification confirms identity. It doesn't mean a creator agreed to, endorses or is affiliated with any pitch. Disputes go through our claims policy.
