Community Guidelines
Cotrest works when pitches are genuine and respectful. Disagreement is welcome; debates are a core format. Cruelty isn't. These guidelines are part of our Terms.
Do
- Pitch collabs you'd actually watch, with a clear topic.
- Back ideas, not friends' accounts or paid requests.
- Report things that break these rules.
Don't
- Harass, threaten or demean anyone, including the people being pitched. No slurs, hate based on protected characteristics, calls for violence, or targeting of private individuals.
- Manipulate backing: multiple accounts, back-trading, bots, paid backing or coordinated brigading.
- Impersonate a creator, brand or public figure. Verification only happens through the claim process.
- Share private information: addresses, phone numbers, emails, or anything about someone's private life.
- Post spam or ads in topics or notes, including links and contact details.
- Make false claims that a person agreed to something, said something or endorses Cotrest.
- Sexualise anyone or involve minors in any way. We report child sexual exploitation to NCMEC and law enforcement.
- Post illegal content, including content that infringes someone's intellectual-property or publicity rights.
Enforcement
We may remove content, merge duplicates, void backing, limit features, and suspend or close accounts. We act proportionately, considering severity, intent and history. When we act on your content or account we tell you which rule applies and why (a "statement of reasons"), unless the law or safety prevents it. Serious violations (threats, doxxing, child safety, impersonation) lead to immediate permanent removal. You can appeal within six months; a different person reviews it.
